Actress Katsumura Mika (28) revealed on her blog yesterday that she has divorced from actor and former Johnny's Jimusho idol Tomoi Yusuke (28). The couple married in January 2006 and had a baby girl the following August. Katsumura filed the divorce papers in June and has custody of their daughter. Tomoi made his debut with kansai Johnny's Jr back in 1994. He had a major supporting role in the "Kamen Rider Agito" tokusatsu series in 2000 and a Godzilla movie in 2002, but has since dropped in and out of showbiz.
I dont remember any Jr by the name of Tomoi yusuke. by somehow this catch my attention. It is a bliss that Toma manage to have a break through. However i hope now is a long team plan is set up for him. dont wish to see him dropping in and out of showbiz. I dont think JE will put good money to market a Jr in a long run.

| job market |
[03 Jul 2008|10:40am] |
Positive job market, but not for all Channel NewsAsia - Wednesday, July 2SINGAPORE: The labour market may be sizzling hot, but not all polytechnic students are benefiting.
While the job market has improved for polytechnic graduates as a group, a comparison of employment rates for similar courses shows a distinct gap between polytechnic and university graduates.
Data from the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM’s) Report on Wages 2007 show that while accountingdegree—holders reported a 98—per—cent employment rate, only 77.3 per cent of accounting diploma—holders were employed in full—time permanent work six months after completing their final examinations.
In computer engineering, the rate was 97.7 per cent for university graduates and 84.6 per cent for diploma—holders.
Diploma—holders also reported lower rates of employment in business administration and finance compared to university graduates.
But in line with the strong demand in the engineering, health sciences and shipbuilding sectors, holders of diplomas in these fields were highly sought after.
Explaining the disparity between the need for workers and the rate of employment, manpower experts said the demand for labour would not be even across all sectors.
Said Mr Dhirendra Shantilal, senior vice—president of Kelly Services (Asia Pacific), “The (employment) trend does not apply across the industries and is industry—specific.”
Mr David Ang, the executive director of the Singapore Human Resource Institute (Shri), said a strict comparison between courses would not be fair as polytechnic and university courses serve different requirements in the job market.
Both employment expertsadvised fresh graduates to manage their expectations as not everyone would be able to land a “dream job”.
In some cases, the relatively low hiring rate in areas like tourism and hospitality derives from the “time lag” between the creation of the educational courses and that of the job, Mr Ang said.
But he added: “With the integrated resorts coming up soon, this sector will pick up.”
According to the MOM, 89.8 per cent of university graduates were employed last year within six months of their final examinations, up from 86.2 per cent in 2006. Meanwhile, 75.3 per cent of polytechnic graduates got a job, up from 72.1 per cent in 2006. — TODAY/ra

I don't feel the same. To me poly grads seems to be able to find job easier. Haiz.. or maybe I was just unlucky. and i dont think polytechnic and university courses serve different requirements in the job market. for god sake! Go to jobstreet and jobB.com and take a look. for the same post a lot of them are open to both uni and poly grad lol.

| JE latest marketing gimmick |
[12 Sep 2007|10:15am] |
Johnny's duo Tackey and Tsubasa are to release their first greatest hits album on October 17. The date is Imai Tsubasa's 26th birthday. They're using an unusual marketing gimmick to promote sales - a series of 55 wallpaper images for mobile phones. A unique serial number will come with each album, and 47 of the images will only be downloadable from within each of Japan's 47 prefectures. The other eight images will be available nationwide. So fans wanting the whole set will, in theory, have to buy 55 albums and travel the length and breadth of the country.

Will there be fans who is willing to buy 55 albums and then travel to 47 prefectures to collect all 47 wallpaper??!?!?!?!
Total cost incure ....... enormous. think can watch one concert with that amount. LOL !

Kimura Takuya Tackles First All-English Role August 23, 2007
With a major domestic film about to be released in a few weeks, SMAP's Kimura Takuya (34) had some other big news this week. In what will be his first appearance in an English-language movie, he has been named to an all-star international cast for the latest project by renowned Vietnamese-French director Anh Hung Tran (44). "I Come With the Rain", Tran's first movie in eight years, stars Josh Hartnett (29) as former L.A. cop turned private eye, Kline. Hired to find Shitao (Kimura), the son of a Chinese billionaire, he travels to Hong Kong where he teams up with an old friend and local cop (Shawn Yue). His search leads him to the gangster Su Dongpo (Korean star Lee Byung Hun) and his druggie mistress (Tran's wife, actress Tran Nu Yen Khe). But he is haunted by memories of the serial killer Hasford (Elias Koteas) whose crimes almost drove him insane and made him quit the LAPD. The movie is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2008, with a possible screening at next year's Cannes Film Festival. Director Tran is best known for 1993's Academy Award nominee "The Scent of Green Papaya". Meanwhile Kimura's "Hero", the movie version of Fuji TV's most successful ever drama, hits the big screens on September 8. He is joined by co-star Matsu Takako (30) and a host of major names.

SMAP's Nakai and Koda Kumi an Item? August 16, 2007
Several tabloid newspapers published a story yesterday saying that SMAP leader Nakai Masahiro (34) is dating sexy singer Koda Kumi (24). Management agencies for both stars refused to comment on the story, saying it was a private matter. The report coincided with the revelation that Koda had broken up with her long-term boyfriend earlier in the year. The relationship, which Koda made no attempt to hide, started before she made her breakthrough and became the country's top-selling artist. The couple were last photographed together in December. But her extreme work schedule and his move to Osaka in May of last year put a heavy strain on their relationship. The 10-year age gap aside, the media would have a field day with a romance between Koda and Nakai. But with Johnny's Jimusho controlling every aspect of its stars' lives, it may be a while before the truth is out.
